The Million Dollar iPad – Update on New Firm and Apps – 8/15/2016

Good morning, Million Dollar iPad Tribe.

Things have been quiet for a bit . . . and for good reasons.
First, I’ve started a new law firm—Grossberg & Hoehn—so you can imagine the time and energy it’s taken to get up and running. My iOS devices have been my primary tools for staying organized, responding to all the internal and external needs, and keeping powerfully centered as I move forward. If you’re interested, you can visit the new firm online at:

Second, there just haven’t been that many new apps published that have reached out and grabbed my attention. If they have, they haven’t been put into my workflow. I will only share apps and workflow tips with you that I actually use.

That doesn’t mean there isn’t anything for us to talk about today. But, we’re going to visit an old friend—Microsoft.

That’s right.

I am now using many of Microsoft’s apps on my iOS devices. Everything from calendaring, to content creation, to drawing/handwritten notes, etc.

So, to make things easy for you, here’s a list of the iOS apps I’ve got:

Outlook – This is my primary go-to app for mail and calendar now.

Word – You want wordprocessing? Here ya go.

Excel – I live in spreadsheets in order to organize my businesses.

Pix – An amazing camera app that automatically tweaks settings. I could spend an entire page writing about what this app does. You’ll have to check it out yourself and be impressed.

Office Lens – The scanner in my pocket. Enough said.

PowerPoint – I prefer Keynote as my slide deck generator and presentation tool, but . . . hey . . . I had to list Microsoft’s version.

OneDrive – While I still use Dropbox, this cloud storage is so easy to use, particularly when done in conjunction with Office 365.

OneNote – This is an amazing notebook that allows you to capture all your thoughts, photos, writings, etc.

Skype – Lots of people use Skype to communicate. You might as well have this on your iOS device so you can give your clients the best service possible.

Word Flow Keyboard – I love this keyboard add-on.

There are many more apps available. These are the ones I use. If you’d like to get an all-in-one-place listing for these and other Microsoft apps, take a look here:

That’s it for today. Here’s to your continued iOS success! – Scott
